We first met Krishna after being ushered into his Kathmandu office by one of his street touts. From the moment he introduced himself we could see that he only wanted to please and give us the trip of a lifetime. He was extremely flexible with our trip and emphasised that it was our trip and we could do exactly as we wished without time constraint- something we found many trekking companies are reluctant to do. It quickly became apparent to us that Krishna and his guides are all very experienced and completely professional not to mention trustworthy and proper. The reputation of GAT is excellent and we left his office feeling excited and confident we had chosen the right company.
We met our guide and porter the day before we commenced our trek, Netra was to be our guide and Harri was our porter. We couldnt have been allocated nicer chaps. Netra and Harri were extremely informative and always ensured our needs and requirements were met at all times. At each evening stop they always got us the best, most comfortable room and looked after our meal requests. On the trek we went at our own pace and Netra taught us many things about the Himalaya and the wildlife. We climbed Poon Hill for the morning sunrise which was magical. We were fortunate enough to not experience any altitude sickness and allowing plenty of time for our trek meant we could take it as slowly as we wanted. The weather was forecast to be poor so we had to miss out an overnight stay at Machhapuchhre Base Camp and climbed from Deurali to ABC and back down to Doban in one day which proved to be a very long day.
We visited Hot Springs on the way down which provided a most welcome wash after two weeks of trekking! Overall a fantastic experience and would highly recommend GAT, Harri and Netra.
We used GAT for our trip. It was very seamless as Krishna arranged everything that we need including accommodation, flights, permits, guides and food. They were very helpful and accommodating in Kathmandu as well.
They certainly made the trip worth while. Rajan (guide) was particularly helpful during the trip and was very hospitable. Giving various insight to the culture and life in modern Nepal.
We did the Annapurna Circuit on a 16 day trek. We havent trekked much in the past so we were a bit nervous but Krishna was amazing and answered all of our questions and laid to rest our concerns. Our guide- Dip- was incredible. He was hugely knowledgable and was able to answer any questions we had about the trek/Nepali culture. He made sure we felt safe and comfortable throughout the whole trip- there were some tough times but he got us through them. We also had the best porter ever- Santos. He was so much fun and we really felt like a family by the end of the trip. I couldnt recommend this company or its staff more highly. We hope to return to Nepal and if we do, we will be popping into Global Adventure to book another trek!
I was looking for a trekking with a porter and a guide to go to Gokyo and EBC. Krishna arranged everything the same day including a permit and a flight ticket. The guide was great, did everything for me. The trek is flexible, we spend one day extra in Namche and stopped earlier because of snow one day. The weather is something you cannot control, but the guide responded good on the changing conditions. The flights from Kathmandu to Lukla were canceled on the day of departure. Krishna could arrange a helikopter for me so I could start the trekking on time. I didnt book lodging and food in advance but we found those along the way, the guide always found a good place to stay.
Thanks for everything Krishna!

Someone in the guest house recommended me Global Adventure Trekking, so I decided to contact them. There are many Trekking agencies around Thamel, but I would highly recommend this one. All the staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. They recommended me to go for the Everest Base Camp and Gokyo (16 dayd trek) and I cannot be more happy about my experience.
My guide Dipendra (Dip) was amazing and truly made my trek memorable! He was very knowledgeable about the mountains and culture, and we enjoyed leaning from the others culture (as I am Spanish).
He gave me advice on altitude sickness when I felt unwell and that made me feel safe and extremely comfortable in his presence.
I would highly recommend this company to all trekkers. Everything went very smoothly and they were instrumental in ensuring that we had an excellent time in Nepal! They are extremely professional and all the staff speak good English.
Thanks Global Adverute Trekking.
Muchas gracias, Cristian.
I went with groups of friends on two different treks and our guide was Natra. He was a great motivator and knew a lot about the areas. We highly recommend this company for booking internationally because they have great English-speaking staff also. Just go for it.....!!
Ive been in Nepal many times and come across many representatives of the trekking business. Without competition, GAT and manager Krishna have been the kindest, most service minded and inspiring - without being an expensive option even. They have helped me out with my sometimes odd requests and itineraries, and I look forward to my next visit.
Krishna was willing to walk through all options of our trip and helped us plan every detail from transportation to lodging to meals. Myself and a group of 9 of my friends took a 3 day trek up to Poon Hill. The trek was a little harder than expected, but Krishna made sure we arrived to each location safely. I would go to Krishna with any bus tickets needed or future vacation plans in Nepal.
From the moment I got picked up from the airport by Krishna the proprietor of global adventure trekking I could not wish for any more from my trip I never had to lift a finger they organised my whole trip from hotels flights guides and permits on my trek which made for the most enjoyable holiday. To summerise GAT are a very professional outfit who cant do enough to help you and are very competitive in there pricing..
I had a great experience with this company. I did three days trekking in the Kathmandu valley. It was great. Krishna who seems to be the main man in the office is very knowledgeable on a huge amount of trekking routes and I saw him plan routes for our group and others. He has in depth knowledge of all routes allowing him to tailor the route to your requirements. I would highly recommend him. Our guide Dipendra or Dip was also an excellent guide whose company we enjoyed. So ask for Dip. (pronounced Deep). I also booked a mountain flight for a better price than other agents so I would definitely return to this agency in the future. Well worth checking out. I think the other members of my group would agree.
