Till date, only the northern and southern elevation of the Kanchanjunga circuit trek is permitted to be traversed. Kanchanjunga snow-caped lies in the Kanchanjunga Conservation Area (KCA).Spread over an area of 2035 sq kilometers, KCA is home to different spice of wildlife including snow leopard, Himalayan black bear, musk, deer, read panda and many bird like pheasant, red-billed blue magpie, etc. As per the itinerary designed by Global Adventure Trekking, this trek begins at Suketar of Taplejung which is accessible by air or Illam or Basantapur, accessible by road. North and South base camp over a Sinion La (4660m) pass and crossing many other high passes, the duration of the trip range from 22 to 30 days.
The North Kanchanjunga trek leads to the base camp of Mt Kanchanjunga which has few visitors as compared to other in the Annapurna and Everest region. The trek starts from the tropical lowlands and passes through thick rhododendron forests, stops at picturesque villages of eastern north Nepal and goes all the way up Ghunsa, Lonak and Pang Pema Base Camp to the glacier providing overwhelming views all along the journey. The trails climb from 1200 meters to 5180 meters above sea level. Wedge peak, Pyramid Peak, Janu Himal, White Wave, the Twins are some of the mountains that you will viewed on this trek. You will also be able to see a face of Mt Everest as you trek to the south and north faces of Mt Kanchanjunga. Few high passes are encountered while trailing to both the elevation. The trek to the north face of Kanchanjunga also takes you through beautiful, simple villages of Rai and Limbu ethnic groups which is known as Tibetan tribes. Day 01 Kathmandu-Basantapur 18hrs.The bus always leave in the afternoon from kathmandu and next day about 11 am you will be Basantapur begins the trek. B.L.D.

Day 02Dasantapur 1100m.-Chauki 6hrs. 2400m. This day you will be walking through the Pine and Rhodendron forest.Mostly goes up hill till the hill top and descends to Chauki 5hrs. Over night at Guest house.Cha Over night at Guest House. B.L.D.

Day 03Chauki-Ram pokhari 3hrs.-Gupha pokhari 3hrs.2920m. Your trek through the village and forest. You might have chance to see some birds and mountain view. Over night at Guest House. B.L.D.

Day 04Gupha pokhari-Garja gaun 3hrs.1200m.-Dovan 3hrs.800m. The begins with gradually up and all down hill but it not steep down to. You are going through forest and village and experience the Magar village and culture down to river side Dovan. Over night at Guest house. B.L.D.

Day 05Dovan-Mitlung 6hrs. 1100m. The path goes gradually up through the village paddy fields and some time walking into the bank of river. Over night at Guest House. B.L.D.

Day 06Mitlung-Sinwa 2hrs.-Tawa 2hrs.-Chirwa 2hrs. 1300m. Chirwa is situated near the Tamur River and this day is walking through one layer to another layer of the valley. Over night at Guest. B.L.D.

Day 07Chirwa-Sokathum 6hrs.1630m. trek to Sekhathum is nice path through the local vegetation Cardamom. You are crossing the Tamor river through the suspension river. Over night at Guest House. B.L.D.

Day 08Sekathum-Amjilasa 6hrs. 2510m. The path goes through small village and cross the Tamor rive then trails ascends all the way to Amjilasa. It is a small village of Tibetan tribes and small shop where you view the great wide valley and mountain range. Over night at Guest house. B.L.D.

Day 09Amjilasa-Gunsa 6hrs.3500m. you are trekking through the mountain ridge and passes small tea shop and cross the tibetan inhabited village to Ghunsa. Over night at Guest house. B.L.D.

Day 11Gunsa-Khambachen 5hrs.4100m. Gunsa is nice village where you can do many shoping in here. This might be the last place for shoping and gradually up to river and up hill to Kambachen. Over night at Guest house. B.L.D.

Day 12Kambachen-Lohnak 7 hrs.4870m. This is another great day to head to Lonak because of the Glacier,Mountain view of Kanchanjunga and,Yak and herald and sound from the noise makes you trek the best. Over night at Guest House. B.L.D.

Day 13Lonak-Pangpema (Kanchanjunga South) Base Camp 3hrs.5100m. This is a short hiked day and you have a option whether spent a night at base camp or just make a day hiked. B.L.D.
