Trekking to Everest Base Camp begins after a 30 minute flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. Everest Base Camp trek goes through Namche Bazar, the famous(trans Himalayan) market town of the Khumbu region. People from different villages in this area and even from Tibet gather here for various types of trading, especially on Saturdays for the local market. After having an acclimatization day in Namche Bazar and seeing marvelous panoramic views of snow-covered mountains like Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kusum kangaru, Lhotse, Nuptse, etc. you will find the awesome beauty is hard to explain in words. You will walk the route traveled by the famous mountaineers of the world for this is the route that leads to Everest Base-camp. Kala Pattar is a lofty shoulder of Pumori, reroute to Everest Base Camp. From Kalapather you will have breathtaking views of Everest and all her wonderful neighbors.
