Ghale Gaun Village trekking is renowned for the hospitality of local Ghale ethnic community and is also the home of famous mountain Honey Hunters.
Located in Lamjung district, approximately 160km north west of Kathmandu and 40 km north east of Pokhara, Ghale Gaun Trekking offers you a total village tourism experience. The culture and tradition of Ghale/Gurung communities including cultural exhibition and traditional practice of honey hunting are a major attraction for tourists. Some villages also offer home stay facilities with local cuisines and delicacies on menu.
Ghale Gaun is also a vantage point for watching the panorama of western Himalaya peaks such as Machhapuchhare, Annapurna I, Annapurna IV, Lamjung Himal, Bouddha Himal, Himalchuli and many more smaller peaks. On the trekking trail you will come across picturesque villages, terraced fields, waterfalls and lush rhododendron forests.
