Mardi Himal Trek is located east of one of the most legendary trekking destination of Nepal, The Annapurna Base Camp trek. This is the great alternative to escape away from crowded treks of Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) with stunning views and duration similar to Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. Mardi Himal trek is a relatively new trekking route in the Annapurna region with jaw-dropping views of the Annapurna south(7219m.) and the most iconic mount Machapuchhre(Fish Tail. (6997m.) Its a peaceful trekking route with very few trekkers make their way to the Mardi Himal Base Camp. Though the availability of foods and accommodation on the route is at the bare minimum, Mardi Himal Trekking is unseen gem yet an enjoyable trekking route which requires minimum effort.
Mardi Himal Trekking is about a week-long trip to the Himalayas with stunning views of snowy peaks through small Nepali villages. It is an interesting trek compared to other popular treks in the Annapurna region. The trek in Mardi Himal consists of short ascend or descend every day. The teahouses on Mardi Himal Trek Is just standard and offers only the essential items to trekkers. Though the trek lacks a number of services, it is one of the best shorts treks away from the crowd and commercial trekking routes. Mardi Himal Trekking is sandwiched between two popular treks; Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. Mardi Himal Trek is hided trekking route among most visitors coming to Nepal every year thus the only small numbers of trekkers make their way to Mardi Himal Base Camp each year.
Mardi Himal Base Camp Trekking is situated under the glorious Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peak. The trail also includes several hours walking inside rhododendron forest that looks tremendous during March - April. The views along the route are impressive; includes Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal and Hiunchuli. More than that, upper viewpoint offers spectacular close views of the whole Annapurna range. The route is pretty quiet during the whole year comparing to popular routes of Annapurna region. Mardi Himal Trekking is a classic trekking route to give you a taste of unspoiled culture and villages.
