EBC- Chola pass trek is a never-ending popular adventure trekking route in the Everest region suitable for all Mountain adventure lovers. Basically, we follow the Everest classical route to Everest Base Camp. It covers all the major attractions of the Everest hiking route from Sherpa village and its culture, and lush landscape to high mountains, diverse species of birds and mammals, and of course majestic mountain views and high Himalayan passes to Tibetan Buddhism and Sherpa tradition. 

Everest Base Camp with Gokyo Lake over Chola pass trek begins with a short mountain flight to Lukla, the starting point of our journey. You will visit Namche and Tengboche Monastery and explore Chhukung valley with enough acclimatized days before heading towards base camp and Kala Patthar. Kala Patthar at an altitude of 5,545 m offers mind-blowing views of Everest (8,848 m), Lhotse (8,516m), Nuptse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam, and Khumbu glacier. Hike to Everest Base Camp (5,380 m) looking up to a gorgeous south face of Everest. Everest base camp to Chola pass trekking is harder for those who are not determined to have challenging trekking in the mountain. This trek is difficult because of the Altitude, Weather conditions, and Cho la high pass. However, the Everest three trek is also possible for extreme adventure.

The return route highlights a visit to the beautiful turquoise Gokyo Lake and the climbing of Gokyo Ri (5,315 m). While here, you will also make the hike to the top of Gokyo Ri and visit Cho Oyu Base camp. From here you will capture stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Pomari, Lobuche, and also Ngozumba Glacier, the biggest glacier in Nepal and the variation of the landscape. Our trek leader lets you experience the thrill of being on top of the world with a climb of Gokyo Ri (5,410 m) and an adventure of crossing Chola Pass (5420 m).

Day 01: Arrival and transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu

upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, Our airport representative will greet you and transfer you to Hotel. The rest of the time is free, Last time shopping

Morning fly to Lukla and begins the trek through the Tamang and Sherpa village. Lukla is mostly inhabited by Sherpa tribes. The trail goes gradually flat to Phakding.

You are approaching to the Himalaya closely. Viewing all mountain and pine forest and following the yak take you to Namche Bazar. On the way you will have the first encounter of Mt. Everest, Amadablem, Themserku and many more.

Optional hike to (Everest view hotel in Syangboche) or Khumjung Monastery This monastery is famous for Yeti Skull, Everest view Hotel, Hillary School and its surroundings.

Trek begins very easily first part then trail goes downhill to Phunki Tanga on the river side. From here the Bouddhism was introduce into the Khumbu valley. Then ascend about 800m to Tengboche through the pine forest.

Tengboche is the best place to view Mount Everest, Amadablam, and Thanserku in the back. Tengboche monastery is another attraction for tourists so GAT staffs take you there in the morning to participate in Puja and descend through the Rhododendron forest.

Today is an acclimatization, Guide will lead you to go up Nangkartshang hill from where you can see the view of 180-degree mountain ranges including Makalu (8481 m) and Chhukung Valley. Gaining altitude-650m

As we are walking in high altitude area so we are trekking like a slog. When we cross the small river in Dhukla the path goes steeply up to Lobuche. You visit Chorten, Mane stone, glacial moraine, and all the panoramic views of above eight thousand meters mountain.

You are on the lap of the Himalayan range. Gorakshep is the initial base camp of Everest. Until the 1950's climber set their camp at this place. Optional hiked up to Everest base camp after lunch and back to lodge.

This is the most memorable day of your trek in your lifetime due to the Sunrise from Kala Patthar on Everest and its neighbors. Experience the Khumbu Ice falls and listen to the noise from the silence. Trek back to the lodge and down to Dzongla 4830m.

After early breakfast, we begin your trek through the ice-cold path to the top of the Chola Top 5,416 m. Surrounded by all Himalayas and see the glacier and long way descent to Dragnak.

Trek down to the hill and cross the Ngozumba Glacier and meet the classical trail to Gokyo lake and keep walking for about one hrs and reach Gokyo lake.

This is an exploration day for your Goryo-Ri 5410m for the great view of the Himalaya from Makalu to Cho-Oyu (east to North range). It is a steep uphill to go Gokyo- Ri but pricy to reach the top. Back to Lodge and trek to Machhermo for 3 hours.

Today you are walking down through the pine and Rhododendron forest and you may encounter several Musk deer, Mountain goats, Himalayan chicken, and Pheasant. On another side of your trek see the great view of Ama Dablam and Themserku Mountain. Passing Dole, Maha danda, and Khumjung and reach.

Flight Note: All the Lukla sector flights operate from Manthali Airport (Ramechhap) due to the air traffic in Kathmandu.  Effective from 25th March 2023 till 31st May 2023. Ramechhap Airport is about 127 km east of Kathmandu and takes 4 hour's drive

Age limit-15 to 75 yrs old. Visa can be granted on arrival at Kathmandu International airport. A 6-month valid passport with 2 pieces of photography is necessary. You may apply for a pre-arrival visa online. and avoid the long queue at Kathmandu Airport.
