Places to visit in Kathmandu

Kathmandu is the abode of Hindu temples and monuments. Most of the temples and monuments were built in the 14th to 16th centuries. While you are here in Kathmandu, Nepal you should not miss to visit these places. Please visit here for the day tour details.

Pashupati Nath Temple: This is a Shiva Temple located in Kathmandu, Nepa near the Bagmati river. The Pashupatinath Temple was listed as a World Heritage site in 1979.

Boudha Nath Stupa: Buddha Nath Stupa is about 6 km from the tourist hub Thamel. Its huge mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal. It is located on the ancient trade route from Tibet which enters Kathmandu. Boudha Nath was listed as a World Heritage site in 1979.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: It is a historically and culturally significant site in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is one of the three Durbar Square World Heritage sites in Kathmandu.

Monkey Temple (Swyambhu Nath Stupa): It is an ancient religious site on the top of a hill in the south of Kathmandu. Many monkeys are hanging around the jungle and temple which is why it is also called Monkey Temple. It is believed that this temple was self-sprung.

Sleeping Bishnu in Budhanilkantha: Sleeping Bishnu open-air Temple dedicated to Mahabishnu. Situated in the North of Kathmandu, Budhanilkantha has a deep Sanskrit origin that means- Old Blue Throat.

Dream of Garden: The garden of Dreams means the garden of six seasons that you can feel at the same place and time. It was the palace of Keishor Narshing Rana, a neo-classical garden with an amphitheater, pavilions, a garden, a pound, and urns.

Patan Durbar Square: Patan is known as the city of art situated about 9km south of Kathmandu. It is a center for both Buddhism and Hinduism with a courtyard and 55 major temples. Temples, shrines, and exquisite carvings are also heritage sites.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square: It is known as the city of “living Meusem” The city of art, Culture, and Carving! The smallest city is densely populated in the eastern corner of Kathmandu Valley.

Chandra Giri Hills: Chandrigiri Hills is becoming famous for Mountain views and Cable cars in the outskirts of Kathmandu. It offers the Bhaleshow Mahadev Darshan and beautiful City and Himalayan views.

Dhulikhel and Nagarkot: Nagarkot and Dhulikhel both places are for sunrise and sunset views. This is the perfect place to hide from the bustling city of Kathmandu to find the peace of mind to rejuvenate your mind and soul.

Pokhara SightseeingTour

Pokhara is a beautiful lake city on the lap of Annapurna I (8091m) and Dhaulagiri (8156m) Mountains. Pokhara is a heavenly paradise located 200km west of Kathmandu. Pokhara is the gateway to Annapurna trekking and to the religious places Muktinath and Upper Mustang. The main tourist attraction of Pokhara is Barahi Temple situated in the middle of the Fewa Lake, International Mountain Museum, David Falls, Gupte Shore Mahadev Temple, Tibetan Refugee Camp and World Peace Stupa and Pumdi Kot View Point.

Pokhara has a lot of things to do like trekking activities, Paragliding, bungee Jump, Ultralight Flight, Fewa Lake cruise, Pony, and many more. If you have time, you may try one! There are multi-cuisine restaurants with warm hospitality.

Chitwan Park Safari

Chitwan is well known for its biodiversity, a preserved area in the land Terai southwest of Kathmandu. Chitwan National Park is known for its glassy land and dense forest. Chitwan National Park is the home of “One Horn Rhino” and Bengal tigers. The park sheltered several birds, mammals, and Butterflies. Chitwan National Park is famous for safaris and walking activities. Our package is an exclusive package that many people rated excellent. While you are in Chitwan National Park you will be followed by the below program. Day 01: Arrivals and transfer to hotel

GAT staffs will meet you at Kathmandu Airport (TIA) upon your arrival and transfer to Hotel. In the afternoon tour briefing followed by a stroll around local market.

Today you will explore Kathmandu Valley by visiting world Heritage sites including Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square. See today's plan in detail here.

After having a warm breakfast in the hotel take an early morning flight to Pokhara which takes about 25 minutes, arrive and transfer to the Hotel. Then go on a full day sightseeing in Pokhara. You will visit  David’s Fall, the World Peace stupa, and Pumdikot,  Gupteshore Mahadev. Overnight in Pokhara.

Today you will visit the International Mountain Museum, Fewa Lake cruise, and Barahi Temple and the rest of the time is free.

Departure Pokhara 7:30 -On Your arrival at Sauraha Bus Park, Our representative will receive you and transfer you to the Hotel. Refreshments & be given a briefing & its facilities. After being given your programs for the day, your room will then be allocated to you.

13:00- Lunch.

15:00 Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus. Visit the National Park Visitor's Center where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife and sunset views from the bank of Rapti River.

19:00- Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers.

06:00 -Wake-up call.

06:30 -Breakfast.

07:00 -Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for Bird Watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish-eating Gharial. + Jungle Walk + On the way back one can enjoy the elephant bathing.

13:00 -Lunch

15:00 -Elephant Safari or Jeep drive. An excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.

19:00 -Tharu cultural dance presentation or Slide show presentation.

20:00 -Dinner
