The historical tour is the most interesting tour program in Nepal that allows you to learn and experience the cultural, archaeological and political history of Nepal. The tours include visit four distinct cities and towns in Nepal starting from the capital city of Kathmandu and going through Bandipur, Gorkha and Pokhara.

Kathmandu Valley is the city of palaces, temples and modern sky rises including seven world heritage monuments. Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares consist of 17th-century palaces, courtyards and temples reflecting the Newari and Nepali arts at its finest form. Similarly, Hindu temple of Pashupatinath and Changu Narayan dedicated to Lord Shiva and Bishnu respectively and Buddhist stupa of Syambhu (Monkey Temple), Buddha and White Gumga are other sites you will visit.

Bandipur is an ancient trade centre and is inhabited by Newar and Magar communities. Once here you can explore Siddha Gufa, Kali Temple while enjoying beautiful mountain views of Annapurna and Manaslu.

Gorkha was the kingdom of Shah kings, notably of King Prithvi Narayan Shah who went on to unite Nepal. Visiting Gorka palace takes you back in time to the history of Shah kings. Other attractions here include Kalika Mai and Gorakhnath temple.

The tour ends with a memorable visit to the lake city of Pokhara. Pokhara is the gateway to famed Annapurna trekking region offering a spectacular panorama of Annapurna and Manaslu Himalayan ranges. There are many sites you can visit in Pokhara such as world peace stupa, David falls, Fewa Lake, Rupa Lake, Begnas Tal, Mahendra cave or take up adventure activities like Paragliding, Para Hawking and Rafting, trekking, boating etc.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is free for your stroll around.

Our trip starts at 9 AM after breakfast. You will visit some exotic sites in Kathmandu.

Boudha Nath Stupa: The largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the centre of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism.

Pashupatinath Temple: Nepal's most sacred Hindu shrine and considered one of the greatest Shiva sites, is located on the banks of the Bagmati River five km north-east of Kathmandu Valley

Monkey Temple: Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. It is also known as the Monkey Temple as there are holy monkeys living in the northwest parts of the temple. like Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa and Swoyambhunath. From the top of Swoyambhunath, you get a great view of the entire Kathmandu valley.

Early morning drive to Bandipur. The journey takes about 4hrs. Bandipur is a hilltop settlement inhabited by Newar and Magar tribes. Once a bustling trading town, today Bandipur is famous as a tourist destination. It features building and cobbled streets with Newari architecture, Bindyabashini temple, Thani Mai, Tindhara, Raniban, Siddha cave. Tundikhel provides great views of Himalayan peaks.

After breakfast, you will take a short drive to Gorkha. Gorkha is the home of Shah kings and the legendary Gurkha soldiers. You can visit Gorkha palace, Gorkha bazaar and enjoy beautiful views of the mountains.

Today you will go to Pokhara. Once you reach Pokhara, you will be transferred to your hotel. Stroll the lakeside and enjoy the beauty of Fewa Lake in the evening.

A full day sightseeing of Pokhara in store for you today. Early morning drive to Sarangkot hilltop to capture fantastic sunrise views of Mt. Fish Tail, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu. Then breakfast and explore the major attractions of Pokhara Valley. We visit Davis fall, Gupteshor Mahadev Cave, International Mountain Museum and Tibetan Refugee Camp.

Have breakfast and then drive back to Kathmandu, which takes approximately 6 hours and transfers to Hotel. Optional 30 minutes fly to/from Pokhara with additional cost.
