Everest High Pass Trekking Itinerary

Everest three-pass trek is the most thrilling adventure trek visiting all the major places of the Everest region of Nepal.

Day 01: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding 2,620 m./8,593 ft./ 8 km./4 hrs.

Iconic morning flight to Lukla (135 km.) and start the trek through Sherpa village. The trail goes gradually flat and easy to Phakding. 

Note: In high season (October/November and April/May) all the STOL flights may conduct from Ramechap-Lukla-Ramechap to avoid air traffic and delays. Kathmandu to Ramechap is 130 km./5hrs. The flight to Lukla from Ramechap is just 15 minutes.

the path is beautiful with its local settlement, diverse landscapes, and Hillary Bridge.  On the way, you will have your first encounter with Mount Everest, Ama Dablam 6,812 m./22349 ft. Themserku 6,608 m./21,680 ft. and many more.

This is a great day for the acclimation and day hike to Khumjung Monastery/Everest View Hotel and back to Namche Bazaar. During the day, you can hike up to Everest view hotel, one of the highest placed hotel in the world, situated at the elevation of 3,750 m./13,000 ft. Later in the afternoon, you can come to Namche to spend the warm and comfortable stay.

A trekking to Thame is not physically hard. Thame and Marlung are the most beautiful and old Village route to Renjo-la pass.  Today, you can have smooth and pleasant walk after the acclimatization day at Namche. Magnificent views of the high mountains and surroundings. Cross the river and heading to Thame. Spent the time with local and have interesting conversation about the culture and lifestyle of Sherpa people.

After having breakfast, you will walk through Herbs and Pine Forest in the highland until Lungden. You could have a mesmerizing view of the landscapes and Mountains around you. You will meet Yak and sheep along the way. Once you reach to in Lungden, get the room at the Guest House, try to be warm and have some hygienic local food. Stay hydrated and sleep well.

 The trail to Renjo-La is beautiful but a little bit hard. This trek features the rocky trail along with pine, Jupiter, fir, and many more. From the top, you will be welcomed by Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and amazing landscapes. Descending to Gokyo will take about   3 hours through an icy and rocky path.

 Today is a rest day after completing the Renjo La pass. Visit Cho Oyu base camp 4,900 m./16,072 ft. Fifth Lake, Visit Ngozumpa glacier and read books.

Morning visit Gokyo Ri for the sunrise and get back to the lodge then trek to Thaknak. The path is easy to Thaknak apart from crossing the glacier. arrive and check in at the Guest House.

Another challenging day of the trek! Starting early is recommended because of the icey and fragile rocky path. From Thaknak (4,750 m) walk to the top of Chola (5,420 m) and descend to Dzongla (4,830 m.)  Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the Mountain and Lobuche Peak.

The Dzongla to Lobuche trek is easy and short it takes about 3 hours/ 7 km to Lobuche. Save your energy for the next day at the Everest Base camp.

 Walk through the glacier moraine, rocky and dry wind to Gorak Shep. It takes only 3 hours to Gorak Shep and check in to the Guest House. Full day read book, enjoy with beautiful scenery and evening walk to Kala Patthar for Sunset view and back.

Congrats on being at Kala Patthar 5545m! After having breakfast walk to Everest Base Camp (5,364m). It is 6km one way to go and back. After exploration return back to Gorak Shep and Trek down to Lobuche for night.

This is the longest and most difficult pass among the three passes. The path is completely into the wilderness, with no huts, and no lodges on the way to the top. It is a 10 km distance but Icey, rocky, windy, fragile rocks, make your day longer than you expected. Prepare a dry food and water for yourself.

 Another celebration At Chhukung!! Follow the Everest classical trek route to Tengboche. On the way back, if time allows, visit Ama Dablam Base Camp and Pangboche Monastery.

Descend about 1000 m. to Phunki Tenga and climb all the way up to Sanasa. Then gradually up and down to Namche Bazaar.

As you are on the way back, you are faster and wanted to be in Lukla as soon as possible, for the party night. Everybody enjoy their time with good food and alcoholic drinks, make good fun with your dedicated trek team. You still enjoy the walk with the different angle views of the surroundings and small settlements.

Grab your warm breakfast and get into the Tenzing Hillary Lukla airport for the iconic short flight to Kathamndu. Once you are safely arrived in Kathmandu, domestic airport, You will be comfortably transferring to your hotel for the pleasant stay.
