Everest High Pass Trekking Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival and transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu
Upon arrival Kathmandu Airport-transfer to Hotel
Day 02: Kathmandu Guided Sightseeing tour
After breakfast, we will start Kathmandu Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square- Pashupati Nath Temple (the oldest and biggest Shiva Temple in South Asia), Bouddha Nath Stupa (the holy place for Tibetan Buddhism).
Day 03: Kathmandu-Lukla and trek to Phakding 4hrs/2620m.
Morning flight to Lukla (135Km) and start the trek through Sherpa village. The trail goes gradually flat and easy to Phakding.
Day 04: Phakding-Namche Bazaar 5 hrs. /(3440m).
u are approaching the Himalaya. Viewing all mountain and pine forest and following the yak trail takes you to Namche Bazar. On the way, you will have the first encounter of Mount Everest, Amadablam, Themserku and many more.
Day 05: Rest day in Namche for acclimatization
Optional hike to Khumjung Monastery/Everest View Hotel and back to Namche
Day 06: Namche trek to Tengboche 5hrs.
Trek begins very easily first part then the trail goes downhill to Phunki Tanga on the riverside. From here the Buddhism was introduced into the Khumbu valley. Then ascend about 800m to Tengboche through the pine forest
Day 07: Tengboche trek to Dingboche 5hrs./ 4400m.
Tyangboche is the best place to view Mount Everest, Amadablam, and Thamserku in the back. Tyang boche monastery is another attraction of the tourist so GAT staffs take you there in the morning to participate for Puja and descend through the Rhododendron forest. Facing always giant mountain range towards Chhukung valley.
Day 08: Dingboche-Chhukung 2hrs./ 4500m.
We always want to make sure that our clients have well acclimatized to go up. Today, you will hike up to Chhukung valley for your well acclimatizes and overnight at a guest house at Chhukung. Walking time is 3 hrs.
Day 09: Chhukung to Kongma-la 5535m-Lobuche 4900m 9hrs.
We start early morning to Kangma-la for a breathtaking view of Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam and all neighbors. The way is very long way ascending and descending
Day 10: Lobuche-Gorekshep 3hrs. 5110m.-Optional hike to Everest base Camp
You're on the lap of the Himalayan range. Gorekshep is the initial base camp of Everest. Until 1950s climber set their camp at this place. Optional hiked up to Everest base camp and back to lodge.
Day 11: Gorekshep-Kalapather 2hrs. 5545m.-Dzongla 4hrs.
This is your remarkable day in your lifetime due to the Sunrise into the Everest and its neighbors. It is always nice to see the biggest glacier which flows from Everest. Trek back to the lodge and down to Dzongla 4800m.
Day 12: Dzongla-Chola pass (5416m) to Dragnag 4700m, 6hrs.
We are walking on the lap of all mountain range through the fragile rocky path. Sometimes it is a danger due the rock falls from the up hills.
Day 13: Dragnak- Gokyo lake 4790m. 4hrs.
Gradually downhill to first lake and ascend 1 hrs to Gokyo lake. You need to cross the longest glacier Ngozumpa and arrive in the Gokyo lake.
Day 14: Exploration day at Gokyo.
Hiked to Gokyo Ri. 5300m. Today we are going up to 5130m for the panoramic view of Pumori, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and its surrounding and get back to lodge. Gokyo lake and Ri are the better than Kala patthar and EBC. The views are the best then you ever have seen.
Day 15: Trek to Lungdeng (4380m) over a Ranjola pass (5345m). 7/8 hours
After having the early breakfast, We will start the trek to Renjola top. We suggest you be on top before noon time due to the wind. The scenery including Mountain, lakes, diverse landscape and you feel like you are above the Mountain. After taking the Photograph trek all downhill to Lunden.
Day 16: Linden to Thame-Namche Bazar 7hrs.
You explore Thame Monastery in the afternoon while we stop for lunch. This village is well known by all Everest climbers, the path is gradually down which will take about 2hrs to Namche. Along the way, you will see many mountain goats, birds, different kinds of flowers Mani wall and prayer flag.
Day 17: Namche to Lukla 6hrs.
We are trekking down to Lukla to catch your nest day flight back to Kathmandu. Mostly flights leave in the morning for good visibility.
Day 18: Lukla-Kathmandu
Morning half an hour flight back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel. Your earlier trip booking is highly appreciated due to the flights and so on. We try our utmost best to Accommodate you in the reliable airlines. Give your valuable feedback to the company and farewell.
Day 19: Final Departure
After the breakfast, we transfer you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your final departure.
