Helambu Trekking Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival and transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival in Kathmandu International Airport, Global Adventure Trekking staff will greet you and coordinates transfer to Hotel. Rest of the time is leisure your self.
Day 02: Guided Kathmandu Heritage Sightseeing Tour
•Pashupatinath Temple: Nepal's most sacred Hindu shrine and considered one of the greatest Shiva sites, is located on the banks of the Bagmati River five km north-east of Kathmandu Valley.
•Boudha Nath Stupa: The largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the centre of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism.
•Monkey Temple: Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. It is also known as the Monkey Temple as there are holy monkeys living in the northwest parts of the temple.
•Kathmandu Durbar Square: Also known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square is the plaza in front of the old royal palace of the then Kathmandu Kingdom. The Durbar Square is surrounded by spectacular architecture and vividly showcases the skills of the Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries.
Day 03: Drive to Sundarija and trek to Chisapani (2100m), 4.5 hrs
After the breakfast drive to Sundarijal for 1 hrs and start the trek to Shivapuri National Park. You will be walking through the Jungle to Chisapani. Over Night at Guest House.
Day 04: Chisapani trek to Kutumsang (2700 m), 7 hrs
This day is bit long and more up and down to go. But the diversity and bio-diversity makes your day really enjoyable. The route offer the magnificent view of Himalayan panorama and visit the local village.
Day 05: Kutumsang trek to Tharepati (3465 m) 5 hrs
The trek goes Gradually up to Mugenghot and Thare pati mostly through the Pine and Rhododendron forest. This is a pleasant walking through the Rhododendron forest and the great Mountain view of Langtang and Gauri Shankar are the best in sights.
Day 06: Thare Pati trek to Melamche Gaun (2560 m), 4 hrs
Tharepati is the place for mountain view then trek goes mostly downhill through the jungle and bush. Melamche is big village inhabited by Sherpa people. Many people practice Buddhism in the Monastery early morning.
Day 07: Melamche Gaun trek to Tarke Ghyang (2700 m), 5hrs
You are trekking into the valley of Helambu. Mostly descending into the valley and again uphill from Nakote Goun till you arrive little before Tarke Ghyang. Overnight at Guest House.
Day 08: Tarke Ghyang trek to Sermathang (2621 m), 6 hrs
Morning you can practice with Mangs and Nuns in the Monastery. The day will be begins with spiritual feeling walking through the ridge and facing to Himalaya and valley all the neighbors village of Helambu and visitation can see. Arrive at Sermathang Over night at Guest.
Day 09: Sermathang trek to Melamche Pul Bazaar and bus to Kathmandu
This is long day easy descending to Kakani where the Gumba is built. (You are open to explore the area and have a Lunch here, After having food take a bus to Kathmandu-Optional) You will have a Lunch and keep walking along the river side to Melamche Pul Bazar and we take a bus to Kathmandu.
Day 10: Final departure to TIA.
After having the healthy breakfast, we will drop you to Kathmandu International Airport for your final departure.
