Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary
Outline Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival and transfer to Hotel.
Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, your tour leader will be waiting with your name plate met and transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu. Kathmandu International Airport to the center of the Thamel is just 5km
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparation day.
After having a hygienic breakfast, the sightseeing program will start with the tour guide to the following places. Visit Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Monkey Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. For details visit here.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding 4hrs/8km.
We take a morning flight to Lukla (between 6-8 am) which is a scenic and exciting one. Upon arrival in Lukla, our Sherpa porters will meet at the airport and stop for breakfast. The trek is easy and smooth to Phakding offering a diverse landscape with waterfalls, rivers, and stone carvings in the boulders. Arrival and check-in at Yeti Mountain Home.
Note: In high season (October-November and April-May) all the STOL flights conducted from Ramechap-Lukla-Ramechap to avoid air traffic and delays. Kathmandu to Ramechap is 130km/4hrs. The flight to Lukla from Ramechap is just 15 minutes.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazar 4,440m/5hrs/12km.
You will continue your journey to Namche through Pine and Oaks forest along the Dudh Koshi. After crossing a suspension bridge and passing small settlements Japute, Toktak, and Banker, we reach Manjo. Ahead of Manjo (Lunch), there is a Sagarmatha National Park Permit check post. Again cross the Hillary Bridge you will reach Namche Bazar.

Day 05: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazar 3,440m-Hike to Khumjung and back
Stay at Namche for the second night for proper acclimatization to the altitude. This is a prosperous village surrounded by Mountains. After having breakfast, we will make a day hike to Syangboch and Everest View point or walk to Thame Village (3800m) on the Northern side. Your guide will be on hand to advise.
Day 06: Trek to Tengboche 3860m/5hrs/11km.
The trek route is very pleasant and offers a great view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and many more. The journey continues through the blossoming colorful Rhododendron forest. This part is rich in wildlife including Pheasant, Musk deer, and Himalayan Thar. Descent to the riverside and sharp uphill to Tengboche Monastery. Tengboche rewards with magnificent views including Ama Dablam, Everest, and its surroundings. This is the oldest monastery in the Khumbu region. Accommodation in Tashi Delek including the attached bathroom.
Day 07: Trek to Dingboche 4400m/6hrs/9km.
The journey goes along the small village to Pangboche through the colorful Rhododendron forest and Chorten and prayer flags making the journey enjoyable. After having lunch at Pangboche, this is the true lasting settlement in the Khumbu region. While serving lunch the sky towering Mt. Ama Dablam is just upfront. Continues to Dingboche and agriculture is the main occupation of the people. Buckwheat, Barley, and Potatoes are then major crops they can grow. Accommodation at Good Luck Hotel including Attached bathroom.
Day 08: Acclimatization day-hike to Nagartsang view point.
You can stroll around the village and have a conversation with locals in-depth about the lifestyle. It is recommended to hike up to Nagartsang hill for a close-up view of Makalu (8,463m). The sunset view is so beautiful at Makalu. Overnight at Good Luck Hotel including the attached bathroom.
Day 09: Trek to Lobuche 4,900m/5hrs/7km.
Trek to Dhukla is pretty nice and easy on the flat land but after Dhukla the path is harder until the top where you can see the memorial Chorten (who had died on the Everest expedition) and Khumbu Moraine. The sunset on Nuptse is an amazing sight to behold.
Arrival and Check in Hotel with attached bathroom.
Day 10: Trek to Gorak Shep-EBC-Gorak Shep 5130/7hrs/13km.
An early starting is recommended for today as the trails weave their way through ice pinnacles and past the crevasses of Khumbu Glacier. Lobuche to Gorak Shep is 3 hrs walking. Check into Hotel and leave the things behind. After having brief lunch and rest walk to EBC, which will take about 2.5hrs./4km one way. From Base camp, you can see Pomari, Kumbuste, and Nuptse and of course, you can have some chat with brave climbers. Return back to Lodge and stay overnight.
Day 11: Gorak Shep Helicopter pick up to Kathmandu.
• Today early woke up is requested to catch the dramatic view from Kala Patthar. The first ray of the sun changes its color into red followed by gold in the evening. There will be no one to disturb your peace of mind, the gentle breeze of fresh air eases your body and soul.
• Kala Patthar is famous for Sunrise. Visit Kala Patthar the next morning which is a two-hour walk from the lodge. After returning back from the Kala Patthar viewpoint, have breakfast and fly back to Kathmandu by helicopter.
• Expected time to reach KTM by noon.
• Arrival and transfer to the Hotel.
• Evening farewell.
Day 12: Final departure
We will drop you off at the Kathmandu international Airport for your onward flight. Bye!
